Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend January 31, 2006 Suspect’s charges include meth delivery Meth Watch EDITOR’S NOTE: Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon, in cooperation with the Mail Tribune and KTVL Channel 10, is participating in "Meth Watch," a program intended to combat the manufacture and sales of methamphetamine in Southern Oregon. Each week, Meth Watch will focus on a person wanted by Jackson or Josephine county law-enforcement agencies for delivery and/or manufacture of methamphetamine. Armando Conchas-Deleon is wanted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department for delivering and possessing methamphetamine. He was indicted in December 2003 on the case. Bail on the warrant is $30,000. Conchas is described as a 38-year-old Hispanic man, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 145 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has a 6-inch scar on his abdomen, a 4-inch scar on his right-hand index finger and a scar on his back. He may be using the aliases of David Rodriguez-Ernandes, Jose Venavides-Ernandes, Jose Rodriguez or multiple combinations of his name. Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case or any other unsolved criminal activity. Callers can remain anonymous. The reward is sponsored by Sonitrol of Southern Oregon. Meth Statistics: In conjunction with Meth Watch, the Mail Tribune compiles weekly statistics to demonstrate the effects of methamphetamine on our community. Arrests — Ten people were arrested last week and lodged in the Jackson County Jail on meth-related charges. Eight were arrested for possessing meth, one was arrested for possessing and delivering meth and one was arrested for possessing, delivering and manufacturing meth. Four arrests were in conjunction with other criminal charges. Court appearances — One person appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court last week on an indictment alleging possession of meth. Child welfare — The local child welfare office of the state’s Department of Human Services removed six children from five homes last week and placed them into protective custody because of meth use in the family. Addiction recovery — Twenty-five meth addicts entered outpatient treatment last week at OnTrack Inc. Four meth addicts completed inpatient treatment last week at Addictions Recovery Center. One person was admitted last week to ARC’s sobering center while under the influence of meth.
