The program pays tribute to the marriage of music and drama that happens with opera, mixing favorite arias from many masters in a program that includes Verdi, Mozart, Bizet, Saint-Saens, Puccini and more. A pre-concert talk on the program with dramatic literature expert Doyne Mraz is planned for 7 p.m. on the hillside. Mela (MEE-la) Dailey earned a master's degree in opera performance from the University of Texas and has taught at Texas State University. Her recent highlights include "La Boheme" with Houston's Opera in the Heights, concerts with the Puigcerda Festival in Spain, the role of Ines in "Il Trovatore" with the Austin Lyric Opera and Handel's "Messiah" with the Austin Symphony. She made her professional debut in a 2003 concert at Carnegie Hall and later recorded a CD at California's Skywalker Ranch with the Conspirare Company of Voices. Advertisement New York-based Robin Lee attended Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, N.J., and performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. He teaches at the Juilliard School. He has performed with many of the top opera companies, singing such works as Mozart's "Requium," Handel's "Messiah" and Faure's "Requiem." Jennifer Lane's repertoire runs from Bach to contemporary music. She debuted with the Metropolitan Opera in 1999 with productions of Shoenberg's "Moses und Aron" and Janacek's "Katya Kabanova." In 2003 she joined the San Francisco Opera for Thompson's "The Mother of Us All" and Janacek's "The Cunning Little Vixen." She has performed at many of the world's top festivals and concert series, including the Tanglewood Festival, the Boston Early Music Festival and more than 20 roles with the New York City Opera. Scott Scully was a member of the Houston Grand Opera Studio. He has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Ballet, the Fort Worth Opera and the Cleveland Orchestra. He is a three-time winner of the prestigious McAllister Opera Award and has won awards from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
