November 25, 1922. After high school, he attended Santa Anna College for two years, then left to fight for his country. In 1942 he joined the Army Air Corps. (which later became the U.S. Air Force). He piloted many air craft including the infamous B-25 bomber. He attained the rank of Lt. Colonel. Although Warren didn't talk much about his service to our great country, he had a chest full of ribbons and a few medals as well. We know that he served at least ten years. After his tour of service he was a Police Officer in Santa Anna for ten years, a Deputy Investigator for the Coroners Office, in Portland, Ore. for 20 years, a Pilot for Mercy Flights in both Medford and Portland, and he also flew for Jackson transferring prisoners. Warreen was a true Civil Servant for our country and community. His lovely wife Betty Jean (Jeanne) preceded him in death in 2012. They had five children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Something that not many people knew about Warren was that he was a skilled craftsman with wood and he made a number of pieces of furniture that grace his home, including a dining room table and a bedroom set. Warren, being a man of his word, promised his wife Jeanne that he would take care of HER dog, and at her passing he did it failthfully, including giving him diabetic shots twice a day until Riley passed away in April 2015. At his request there will be no service.
