Merkley-Wehby to debate in Medford Oct 13, 2014 12:00 AM A A KOBI-TV will broadcast a live debate from its Medford studio between incumbent U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., and his Republican challenger, Dr. Monica Wehby, from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14. Craig Smullin, KOBI's news director and anchor, will moderate the debate. Panelists questioning the candidates will be Bob Hunter, editor of the Mail Tribune; Natalie Hurd, also an anchor on KOBI; and Patsy Smullin, owner of California Oregon Broadcasting. The debate will air live on channels 5 and 785 on KOBI, as well as on KOTI-TV in Klamath Falls and KEVU-TV in Eugene. The entire broadcast will be available following the debate at www.kobi5.com.
