Angela Bettenburg went 2-for-2 and sparked a four-run fourth inning for the Comets (17-3 overall) with a two-RBI single. Janelle Cristofaro ran her pitching record to 13-3 after tossing four innings of shutout ball. She and reliever Ashleigh Cuddie combined on the three-hit, eight strikeout performance. Ashland scored its lone run when April Jorgenson doubled and later scored in the fifth inning. Mosser and Aisa Dimas each had a hit in the nightcap. The Challengers moved to 9-9 overall and 7-3 in the SCL with the split.
