Britt: Bonnie Raitt tickets nearly sold out By Nick Morgan Updated: Apr 27, 2022 04:21 PM A A Bonnie Raitt fans wanting “Something to Talk About” this summer had best buy their tickets in the “Nick of Time” Friday morning. Tickets for the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter's Aug. 27 show at Britt Music and Arts Festival are nearly sold out, according to spokesman for the nonprofit Mike Gantenbein. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, whether in-person at 216 W. Main St. in Medford, by phone at 541-773-6077 or online at Brittfest.org. Earlier this week, the nonprofit’s members snapped up all the tickets for Norah Jones’ June 22 show under the Jacksonville stars. Raitt is the next concert expected to sell out, but singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan’s June 12 show, comedian Jim Gaffigan’s Aug. 11 show and electric blues band Blues Traveler’s Sept. 8 show are also “on their way” to selling out. “I’m pretty sure that they’ll sell out at some point soon,” Gantenbein said. “Those are the ones I’d say line up for sooner than later.” Gantenbein praised the work of Britt’s schedulers for the lineup at Britt’s upcoming season. “We have a great, diverse lineup this season,” Gantenbein said. “It’s a great lineup for our 60th anniversary.” For those buying tickets online, Gantenbein advises that concert-goers watch out for convincing-looking ticket resale websites that pay for top search results on Google when searching common terms such as “Britt concerts.” “We’ve tried to outdo them,” Gantenbein said. “We spend for ads, but they outbid us every time.” To avoid resale markups, Gantenbein recommends buying tickets directly from the nonprofit’s website, tickets.brittfest.org .
