CHILDREN'S SHOW AT PAGE MARCH 18 The committee that has been trying for some months to secure a children's program at one of the moving pictures houses are pleased to announce to the mothers of Medford that their efforts have at last been successful, and Saturday, March 18, from 10 to 11 a.m., the management of the Page theater will give a Pathe diversified program of drama, comedy and educational pictures especially adapted for the children. The committee are desirous that the program be well attended, for upon the interest manifested in this initial program will depend on the continuance of them from time to time. Other cities are having these Saturday morning matinees with great success, and the mothers of Medford have asked for something along this line, and the committee asks their cooperation at this time to make it a success. Superintendent Hillis most heartily endorses this movement and the committee ask all who are interested in securing the best in motion pictures for the children of Medford to give us their cooperation in this movement. SOCIETY Miss Dora Smock entertained Friday evening at her home on North Central with a very delightful prenuptial affair in the form of a Japanese tea for the pleasure of Miss Vera Hammond, who leaves Tuesday, for Pocatello, Idaho, where she will be married to Frank O. Roberts on Thursday, March 16. The evening was spent with social conversation, music and hemming towels for the honored guests. At the close of the evening a delicious luncheon was served in the dining room, where an Oriental color scheme was carried out. Almond blossoms formed the centerpiece and a hand painted Japanese china service was used. The guests included the Misses Vera Hammond, Carolita Jacks, Genevieve Wortman, Isabelle Phipps, June Hinman and Mrs. R. H. Hamill. Mrs. Bert Orr entertained at dinner Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. O. C. King, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Diamond and Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Olson as her guests.
