No. 4 Grizzlies roar past Panthers ASHLAND -- Ashland is undefeated in Southern Oregon Conference volleyball and the Grizzlies are only getting better. Fourth-ranked Ashland (16-3, 9-0 SOC) turned in one of its better performances of the season Tuesday with a dominating 15-1, 15-3 victory over South Medford. "From point one we played our heads off," Ashland coach Josh Rolfing said. "It was one of our best matches all year. Our strengths were our passing and serving. And we played the heck out of the defensive end." In the opener, Chelsea Johnson broke a 1-1 tie with 12 straight service points, including three aces. "She was moving the ball around really well," said Rolfing. "She had focus and hit the areas we asked her to." Ashland jumped out to a 10-0 start in game 2, with Loriana Berman accounting for points 5-10 serving. Chelsea Morgan completed the match with three straight service points. "It seems like we improve every time we step on the court," said Rolfing. "We had a little decline last week because of sickness and a lot of little things. It's nice to see us bounce back. We're on the rise again."
