On Feb. 13, Jackson County’s grand jury indicted and issued a warrant for the arrest of Copeland after he was identified by video surveillance breaking into an Ashland business. On April 20, he was arrested in Clark County, Wash., on this warrant, a second warrant from Medford Police and local charges; however, he was released two days later. Ashland Police Department issued a new felony warrant on May 22 when Copeland failed to appear on the burglary charge. The Medford Police Department holds an additional felony warrant for Copeland for failure to appear, first-degree theft and second-degree theft. Both of these warrants are extraditable from Oregon or Washington. Copeland is described as a white male adult, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 145 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair and has multiple tattoos, including a gargoyle on his right forearm, a dragon tattoo on his back, Japanese writing on his upper right arm and the word "Unity" on his left forearm.
