On Thursday, Gibbel made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of hit-and-run with injuries. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance. Court Appearance — Skyler McCloud McDonald, 27, of the 140 block of Lewis Avenue, Grants Pass. On Thursday, McDonald made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance. Assault — James Horace Katz, 59, of the 300 block of Freeman Road, Central Point. Central Point police arrested Katz Thursday on a felony charge of third-degree assault and a misdemeanor charge of first-degree trespassing. He was lodged in jail Thursday on $29,000 bail. Drugs — Elizabeth Ann Hibbard, 35, no known address. Medford police arrested Hibbard Thursday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and for violating her probation on a previous methamphetamine possession conviction. She was lodged in jail Thursday without bail.
