Is that true? If so, what was the name of the school? Also, how was Wilson School named? Thank you. —Doug H., Medford. Medford school district’s records don’t show that the district ever had a school there. As for nearby Wilson Elementary School, it’s named after President Woodrow Wilson. Many of Medford’s school, especially those in the heart of the city, are named after presidents. The "president schools" also include Washington, Jefferson, Jackson, Roosevelt, Hoover, Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln.
