October 19. 2014 2:00AM Harriet Sheehan Christmas Day, 1919 to September 15, 2014 Harriet was born in North Haven, Conn. on Christmas Day, 1919 to the joy of her parents Nelle and Harry. She grew up with Christian values and enjoyed the beauty and wonders of nature. As a young lady she met Paul Sheehan and fell in love. They were married in August, 1940. After the war, they moved to California and in 1965 relocated to Shady Cove, Ore. Harriet worked at Providence Hospital in Medford for more than 25 years before retiring. She was preceded in passing by her husband Paul in 1976. Upon retirement, she traveled the world with her closest friends and was very active in her church and her devotion to God. She was loved by all who knew her and spent the majority of her time helping others. Harriet is survived by a daughter and son, along with three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and leaves a legacy of benevolence and love to the world. She passed away peacefully September 15, 2014. Rather than flowers or donations, Harriet would want her friends to contribute to their favorite charity, or to simply express their love for those around them and hug their loved ones while they are still with us.
