Dollarhide, 80, of Rogue River, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 in Medford, OR. He was born January 17, 1935 to Wesley & Ruby Dollarhide in McCloud, CA. After WW II the Dollarhide family moved to Oregon. Chuck graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1953. He joined the U. S.A.F. and was stationed at Edwards Air Force Base in CA. Charles married Joyce Thatcher on April 22, 1956. In 1970, they moved to Rogue River. Chuck was a Scout leader with the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He belonged to the Lions Club and the F.O.E. Elks. He was part of the original Chieftan Chanters. He worked as a dairy farmer and salesman. Chuck enjoyed watching the Oregon Ducks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; sons, Ed and Ron; daughter, Susie; sister, Norma; parents; and illiam & Bessie Thatcher. Survivors include daughter, Pam; sons, Ken (Romi) and Bob (Kember); 27 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many cousins. A private memorial service will be held December 21, 2015 at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens, Grants Pass, OR. A potluck will follow, for friends and family at the Dollarhide home in Rogue River.
