As of 8:07 p.m., a crew has been dispatched to repair an outage affecting 958 customers in Ashland and Talent, according to a Pacific Power update. Power is anticipated to be restored in the area by 11 p.m. An outage affecting about 1,000 east Medford customers was resolved just after 8 p.m., according to a Pacific Power website. Crews had been dispatched just before 6 p.m. for an outage that affected 998 customers near Ellendale Drive in the 97504 ZIP code, according to Pacific Power spokesman Tom Gauntt. Power has since been restored in the Medford outage, which was caused by a downed power line reported at 5:52 p.m. Wednesday in the 5000 block of East 10th Street in Medford, according to Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon. Gauntt said the cause of the Medford outage was wind that caused a tree branch to fall on the line. Five additional reports of power line problems have been called in as of 8 p.m., ECSO reports show. In addition to the East 10th Street downed line, Medford Fire-Rescue has responded to four power line calls in Medford and Jackson County Fire District 3 has responded to a downed line in White City.
