Walker claims win in pro stock feature race WHITE CITY � The fireworks went off early Saturday night at the Southern Oregon Speedway as Tony Walker exploded into the lead and took the checkered flag in the pro stock feature race for his second win of the season. Walker took home $500 for his win after he managed to avoid a number of accidents. Frank Word III, who won the past two features, was taken out early in the race due to mechanical problems but eventually returned, while Rick Norman was pinned between another car and an infield safety tire. Norman left the race with no injuries. Rick Hunsley took home the Timber Wolf Hard Charger Award in the pro stocks, starting in the back of the pack and moving up the most positions during the race. Since Word didn�t win the feature in his Superman car, it was up to Harvey Foster in the Batmobile to come through for the crime fighters in super trucks. Foster led the entire super trucks race, keeping defending class champ John Wayne Cahill at bay throughout the race. Defending class champion Dan Estremado won the winged modifieds feature race after numerous accidents cut the number of cars in half from the start of the race to the finish. Jim Hill won the mini stocks feature, his sixth feature win this season.
