Police recover stash of weapons from Gold Hill home Oct 13, 2005 12:00 AM A A Emergency Services Felony arrests Drugs ' John Joseph Gordon, 47, of the 5400 block of Highway 227, Trail. Shady Cove police Wednesday arrested Gordon on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Wednesday on & 36;5,000 bail. Forgery, identity theft, vehicle theft ' Ryley Jeanne Morgan, 27, of the 1500 block of Brookdale Avenue, Medford. Medford police Wednesday arrested Morgan on 11 counts of identity theft, two counts of first-degree forgery, two counts of second-degree theft, contempt of court and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Wednesday on & 36;260,000 bail. What began as a drug bust Wednesday led police to a large weapons cache inside an ex-felon's home in Gold Hill. At around 6:14 p.m. members of Medford's gang and street drug unit searched Jason Michael Tucker's home at the 12000 block of Old Stage Road. There they found 11 firearms ' three handguns and eight long guns, Medford police Lt. Tim George said. We figured he'd have a weapon or two, but we didn't think he'd have 11, George said. One of the long guns was a sawed-off shotgun. The gun was sent to the crime lab for measurement. — Along with the guns, police found small amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana and digital scales. A small amount of a prescription drug believed to be methadone was also collected, George said. Tucker, 29, was convicted of felony fourth-degree assault in Oct. 2000. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on five counts of being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and possession of methadone. He remained jailed late Wednesday on & 36;35,000 bail. George said an investigation into how Tucker received the guns in continuing. Medford police was assisted by the Jackson County sheriff's department.
