What's a Britt freeloader to do? Apr 22, 2015 12:00 AM A A (Last year) as we were peeking over the new fence at Britt to watch a show, a worker who was walking outside the Britt grounds came up and directed us to move to the other side of the road per the fire marshal's request. Come on. We have watched folks perform by peeking over the fence for years. What's up with this lame excuse to move us freeloaders? — Ann Your freeloading — you said it, not us — concert-viewing methods aside, Ann, the reason for your relocation to the other side of the road actually does stem from legitimate safety concerns. The Britt folks tell us there was a fire near the location you mentioned a few years ago. It was on a hill near the parking lot, and due to the amount of people crowded there, a responding engine had problems getting through. "After that, they insisted to us that they needed to have clear and easy access," said Britt marketing director Sara King Cole. "It's a safety and a liability thing for us.
