Pear Blossom Baby Contest gives Buds and Blossoms a chance to shine Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Mar. 18, 2015 at 3:28 PM Posted Mar. 18, 2015 at 3:28 PM » Social News Soroptimist International of Medford will hold its 30th annual Pear Blossom Baby Contest at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4, in front of JCPenney in the lower level of Rogue Valley Mall in Medford. All category winners receive a picture packet from JCPenney’s Portrait Studio and a $25 gift certificate from Rogue Valley Mall. Categories include Quickest Smile for both boy and girl, Bluest Eyes, Prettiest Hair, Darkest Eyes and Chubbiest. The grand-prize winners, Baby Bud and Baby Blossom, each receive a $50 gift certificate to Rogue Valley Mall and engraved silver cups from Lawrence Jewelers. All baby contest winners will get a chance to ride on the Soroptimist International of Medford float in the Pear Blossom Parade Saturday, April 11. The annual contest is sponsored by Soroptimist International of Medford, JCPenney, Rogue Valley Mall and Lawrence Jewelers. Lawrence has been a sponsor for all 30 years of the contest. It costs $10 to enter. All proceeds will be donated to the Family Nurturing Center. For registration forms, visit www.SoroptimistRV.org or the JCPenney Portrait Studio.
