Raiders rout Simpson twice ASHLAND � The Southern Oregon University softball team scored 11 runs in one inning without a hit en route to a doubleheader sweep of winless Simpson College on Monday. The Raiders (16-9) took advantage of nine walks and five hit batters by three different Simpson pitchers to cruise to a 15-0, five-inning win in the opener. SOU won the nightcap, 8-0. Southern used four hits and three walks to score four more times in Game 1. In Game 2, Brandi Brown and Lisa Jones had three hits apiece to lead a 15-hit Raider hitting barrage. Brown (15-6) picked up the win with her 15th complete game and fifth shutout. Simpson fell to 0-20 on the season.
