Jose DeZenen Perez-Cortez, 22, of the 700 block of West 11th Street in Medford, died Monday at Rogue Valley Medical Center, Winters said. Daniel Duran-Rodriguez, 20, of Medford, died Sunday at Providence Medford Medical Center from injuries he suffered in the single-vehicle crash early Sunday in the 4200 block of old Jacksonville Highway. Police said the men were occupants of a 2001 Ford Windstar van that overturned at about 2:20 a.m. Sunday. Debris at the scene suggested the van was traveling toward Jacksonville when the driver lost control on a curve, causing the vehicle to slip into a ditch and collide with a tree near the Medford National Little League ballpark. A third passenger, a 17-year-old boy from the Medford area, remained hospitalized late Tuesday at RVMC. Winters did not know the teen’s name, but said it appeared he would survive. All three occupants were partially ejected from the van, police said. No further information was made available.
