(Mail Tribune / Jim Craven) Medford loan company robbed at gunpoint Police are on the lookout for a man who made off with money from the South Riverside business By Chris Conrad Mail Tribune Police are working to solve an armed robbery of a Medford loan company that occurred Thursday afternoon. At around 3 p.m. a man entered U.S. Title Loans at 820 South Riverside Avenue brandishing a handgun. He demanded the clerk give him money before fleeing on foot north along Riverside Avenue. The clerk was the only person inside the store during the robbery. She was not injured during the incident, Medford Lt. Tim Doney said. The suspect, described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, Doney said. He was around 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a medium build and very short hair. He was wearing a red bandana over his face, a white hooded sweatshirt with dark green lettering that read "ETNIES." Advertisement "We have a few leads and our detectives are following them right now," Doney said. Loan companies were popular targets for one robber last December. One man is suspected of holding up the Check Into Cash and the Check 'N Go on Biddle Road. Police are searching for that suspect. The man was described as between 40 and 50 years old, white, with brown hair and a long thick mustache. He was wearing a gray swearshirt with a hood and blue or black jeans at the time of the robberies. Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to call Medford police detectives at 770-4784.
