Multiple Grants Pass arsons suspected Six commercial fires were deliberately set in downtown Grants Pass Friday night and Saturday morning, say investigators from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety. Responding to calls from 10:23 p.m. Friday to 1:12 a.m. Saturday, fire fighters extinguished blazes at the following locations: Brown, Hughes, Bird, Lane & Rote attorneys office, 612 N.W. Fifth St. Travelers Hotel, 423 S.E. Sixth St. Satellite Equipment & Systems and Motorcycle Accessories, 421 N.E. Seventh St. Gary Martin Realty, 1012 N.W. Sixth St. Connie's Hair Design, 1330 N.W. Sixth St. Wright dental office, 118 N.E. Jackson St. Gary Martin Realty and Satellite Equipment & Systems suffered significant damage, estimated at approximately $50,000. Grants Pass police have no suspects, said Sergeant Curtis Pilcher. Oregon State Police and a city detective are working on the case. Nine engines and 25 fire fighters from Grants Pass, Rogue River Rural, Illinois Valley Fire Department, Applegate District 9 and Rural Metro responded.
