Tax measures generally determine voter participation, and this year only Ashland has a school district levy on its ballot. Districts with contested seats include Medford, Central Point and Eagle Point schools, Rogue Valley Transportation District, and Applegate Valley, Colestin and Greensprings fire districts. “It’s a shame that we don’t have higher participation in these elections,” Walker said. "They're the ones deciding where your local taxes go." Walker reminds voters they have until 8 p.m. Tuesday and to sign their ballot before submission, although elections staff will send voters a notice if there's a problem with their signature. “At this point, do not mail these ballots,” Walker said. Voters may drop their ballots off at the following locations until 8 p.m. election day: Central Point library, 116 S. Third St., Central Point Eagle Point library, 239 W. Main St., Eagle Point Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland Rogue River library, 412 E. Main St. Rogue River Jackson County Elections, 1101 W. Main St., Medford.
