Man found dead in Bear Creek identified Updated: Dec 28, 2022 02:00 PM A A Medford police have identified a man found deceased last week in Bear Creek close to downtown Medford as 63-year-old Richard Henderson, and investigators ruled his death accidental. Henderson’s body was found in Bear Creek near the first block of North Riverside Avenue near the Fourth Street intersection at 8:40 a.m. Dec. 22, according to a news advisory issued Wednesday by Medford police. Medford detectives found no obvious signs of trauma or criminal activity at the scene, according to police, and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputy medical examiners found no signs of foul play in an autopsy. Medical examiners ruled the cause of Henderson’s death accidental caused by drowning and exposure. Toxicology results are still pending.
