Lee swift to finish in Eugene Indoor EUGENE -- Senior sprinter Deborah Lee of Ashland won the girls 300 meters and finished second in the 50 Saturday in the annual Eugene Indoor track and field meet at the Lane County Fairgrounds. Lee was clocked in 44.12 seconds in the 300 and 6.82 in the the 50. Senior Taylor Cropper was second in the boys 50 (6.25) and high jump (6-2). Rosa Curry-Nordyke was fourth in the girls high jump (4-10). Chris Phillips was sixth in the boys 50 (6.4) and Nick Bakke was sixth in the shot put (47-6). South Medford junior Perry Custance was fourth in the 300 (39.79) and 1,500 (4:24.16). In the girls pole vault, Kristin Russell was third at 9-0. Kylie Healy was fourth in the shot put (34-3) and Janie Carleton was fifth in the triple jump (31-0). Earlier in the day, a South Medford brother and sister were involved in a motor vehicle accident near Jacksonville while heading into Medford to join their teammates for the trip to Eugene. Junior distance runner Joel Sullivan suffered a laceration on the side of his head when the Ford sedan he was driving turned over on Highway 238. He was taken to Rogue Valley Medical Center, given 11 stitches and released. Freshman Kelly Sullivan, also a distance runner, was uninjured.
