Grizzlies swept in twin bill by Yreka By Staff report Mar 28, 2019 09:41 PM A A MEDFORD — Ashland freshman Gabby Heiken had four hits on the day, including a triple in Game 2, and Shelby Brown had two hits and two RBIs in the nightcap, but the Grizzlies dropped a pair of nonleague games, 12-0 and 12-6, at U.S. Cellular Community Park on Thursday afternoon. Heiken was one of two Grizzlies to have a hit in the opener, then went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs in the second game. After getting blown out in the opener and falling behind 7-0 in the second game, Ashland showed some fight by scoring three runs in the bottom of the third. A single by Heiken and a bunt single by Alia Gorringe set the table for Brown, who came through with a two-run double. Gorringe also had two hits and an RBI for the Grizzlies in Game 2.
