Oregon man who killed officer had long criminal record ... 5 Things to Do This Weekend (May 29-31) Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted May. 27, 2015 at 12:49 PM Posted May. 27, 2015 at 12:49 PM » Social News Here are five ways to have fun this weekend. 1. The big movies opening this weekend are “San Andreas,” a PG-13 apocalyptic thriller starring the one and only Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock); “Aloha,” a PG-13 comedy-drama starring Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams, Emma Stone and Alec Baldwin; and “Results,” an R comedy starring Guy Pearce, Cobie Smulders, Kevin Corrigan and Giovanni Ribisi. 2. It’s not officially summer, but it is pool season. If the weather cooperates this weekend, head to the public pool for some fun in the sun. Or throw a water-fun party in your backyard. Break out the slip-n-slide and the sprinkler, set up a kiddie pool, get some water balloons and get some squirt guns and enjoy the day! 3. It’s also camping season: June brings Great Outdoors Month and National Camping Month. If you can get away for a camping trip this weekend, by all means do. Otherwise have a backyard campout, with tents, a campfire, s’mores and more! 4. The NBA and NHL finals are just about set, so if you’re looking for some other sports action, check out baseball and soccer - both leagues have plenty of games slated for this weekend. 5. The favorite drink of the Kentucky Derby also has its own day - Saturday, Mint Julep Day. Celebrate by going out and ordering one, or by making your own at home. The kids can enjoy them, too - just check Google for non-alcoholic mint julep recipes.
