Saturday and Sunday's will be posted on Monday. — - - Felony arrests Burglary -- A 17-year-old boy was lodged in the Jackson County juvenile facility on Thursday on a charge of second-degree burglary. Drugs -- Jason Wesley Boyd, 19, address unknown. Medford police arrested Boyd on Friday on charges of manufacture, delivery and possession of methamphetamine, and on a charge of parole violation. He was lodged in the Jackson County jail without bail. Crime reports Stolen vehicle -- 700 block of West 11th Street, reported to Medford police at 6:28 a.m. Friday. Burglary -- 300 block of Stanley Avenue, reported to Medford police at 9:43 a.m. Friday. Burglary -- 200 block of West Jackson Street, reported to Medford police at 10:11 a.m. Friday. Burglary -- 300 block of Garfield Street, reported to Ashland police at 11:26 p.m. Wednesday. A garage/storage area was burglarized. Vandalism -- 500 block of East Main Street, reported to Ashland police at 5:09 p.m. Thursday. Someone vandalized a car, causing $1,500 damage. Injury accidents Man hurt while retrieving sunglasses -- An Eagle Point man suffered head injuries Friday night when he hopped out of a slowing truck to retrieve his sunglasses. Steven Donald Lingren, 29, was hurt in the accident, which happened at about 9:45 p.m. on Highway 62 near Avenue G in White City. According to the Jackson County sheriff's office, Lingren was a passenger in a pickup northbound on the highway when he looked out the window and lost his sunglasses. He asked the driver to slow down, and the truck pulled over. But before the truck stopped, he jumped out as the truck was traveling at about 5-10 mph, and fell on his head. He was taken to Providence Medford Medical Center, where a nursing supervisor said Friday night he was being evaluated in the emergency room. Felony arrests Assault -- Thomas Harold Abbey, 39, of 812 Ulrich Road, Prospect. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Abbey on Saturday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault and on a charge of harassment. He was lodged in the Jackson County jail on $8,000 bail. Drugs -- Mark Andrew Newberger, 46, of 9902 Mt. Ashland Ski Road, Ashland. The Jackson County Narcotic Enforcement Team arrested Newberger on Friday on charges of possession, manufacture and delivery of amphetamine. He was lodged in the Jackson County jail on $25,000 bail. Drugs -- Rodney Dale Rikard, 38, of 307 Laurel, Medford. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Rikard on Friday on a warrant for failure to appear in court and on a charge of possession of amphetamine. He was lodged in the Jackson County jail on $9,000 bail. Crime reports Theft from car -- Lost Creek Lake, reported to Jackson County sheriff's deputies at 10:47 a.m. Friday. Items worth $2,200 were stolen from a vehicle. Theft -- 100 block of Second Avenue, reported to Jackson County sheriff's deputies at 9:39 a.m. Saturday. A 14-foot raft worth $1,300 was stolen. Theft -- 400 block of First Avenue, reported to Jackson County sheriff's deputies at 12:57 p.m. Saturday. A Troybilt rototiller worth $1,000 was stolen from a carport. Miscellaneous Bullet grazes officer -- A Jackson County probation officer was taken to the hospital following a handgun qualifications mishap in which a ricocheting bullet grazed her head. Kim Faith, 43, of Ashland, was treated at Rogue Valley Medical Center after the accident, which occurred about 8:35 a.m. Friday at the police shooting range at Jackson County Sports Park in White City. The wound wasn't life-threatening. She was released from the hospital Saturday morning. According to the Jackson County sheriff's office, Faith was shooting along with six other probation officers who were lined up three yards away from cardboard human silhouette targets. Police said Faith didn't really know what happened. She said she was just shooting, and was hit in the head, a police report said. It wasn't known whether the bullet was from her gun, or whether it ricocheted off someone else's target or off a berm behind the targets that contained softball-sized rocks. The bullet traveled through the bill of a sun visor she was wearing and struck her in the left forehead. Man injured in fall from roof -- A Medford man was critically hurt Saturday when he fell from a shop roof while trying to remove metal panels. Donald D. Hoover, 59, was hurt in the accident, which happened at about 10:40 a.m. at Big Foot Manufacturing at 4811 Table Rock Road in Central Point. He fell about 20 feet. Hoover was taken to Rogue Valley Medical Center, where Saturday afternoon he had movement in all four extremities and was able to blink his eyes on request, a police report said. A nursing supervisor said Saturday night that he was in critical condition. Felony arrests Drugs -- Wendy Amanda Sunseri, 24, 1875 Marsh Lane, Medford. Medford police arrested Sunseri Sunday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. Theft -- Jesus Monolito Hernandez, 20, 708 Beatty St., Medford. Police arrested Hernandez Sunday on a Jackson County warrant charging first-degree theft. He was lodged in the Jackson County jail. No bail listed. Drugs -- Jesus Hernan Sanchez-Esparza, 21, no address listed. Police arrested Sanchez-Esparza Sunday on a charge of possession of amphetamine. He was lodged in the Jackson County jail on $5,000 bail. Drugs -- Michael Allen Parks, 21, 2881 Howard Ave., Medford. Police arrested Parks Sunday for failure to appear on a warrant charging possession of amphetamine. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail; no bail listed. Crime reports Burglary -- Discount Fireworks, 7230 Highway 62, White City. Workers reported to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department Sunday that $500 worth of fireworks had been stolen from the stand. Officers reported that the stand had been unattended. Car vandalized -- 363 Beach St., Ashland. Ashland police took a report late Saturday that vandals had broken out a window and scratched the paint on a car, causing an estimated $8,000 damage. Grass fire -- 1679 Jackson Road, Ashland. Ashland Fire and Rescue on Sunday extinguished a small grass fire at on Jackson Road behind Ray's Garden Center.
