Land site of mobile home park Can you tell us what is being built where South Stage Road comes into Highway 99, behind the Arco AM/PM service station? It looks like a new subdivision. Won't this block the possibility of extending South Stage Road to North Phoenix Road? -- Lorraine S., Medford The piece of land being developed just south of the gas station will be a mobile home park called San George Estates, with 177 spaces, according to the Medford Planning Department. The city gave final approval of plans to develop the mobile home park on 33 acres in November 1997. The city also plans to purchase about five acres from the developer to be used as part of the Bear Creek Greenway. As for the potential South Stage Road extension, the mobile home park won't be an obstacle if the decision is made to do it, said Jim Maize, a senior city planner. Maize said the city has anticipated the possibility of extending the road for some time and made planning decisions accordingly. Send your questions to "Since You Asked," Mail Tribune Newsroom, P.O.
