Prep football Mazama loses to Scappoose in 3A playoff SCAPPOOSE -- Scappoose rallied from a 14-point deficit and knocked off Mazama 20-14 in double overtime during the Class 3A state football playoffs Saturday. Derek Anderson sparked Scappoose's rally by completing a 37-yard touchdown pass to Mike Hinshaw late in the second quarter. Anderson hit teammate Brandon Mann with a 29-yard pass, and found Hinshaw for the two-point conversion to tie the game in the fourth quarter. Gary Johnson scored the touchdown in overtime with a 7-yard run. Scappoose advances to the quarterfinals against Tillamook, which beat Burns 9-8 Saturday.
