How's the progress on that case? Can we get a full report this week? -- Arron S., via e-mail Look for a February report on the trial of Luis Alberto Salas-Juarez, accused of murdering Lunsford, 23, in August. Salas, also 23, allegedly stabbed Lunsford, of Butte Falls, to death in an alley between Medford's Bartlett and Front streets at 2:47 a.m. on Aug. 13. Prosecutors also allege Salas tried to kill Lawrence Matthew Crowley, who ran away and was not injured. Advertisement Lunsford, who was stabbed in the heart, died following surgery at Providence Medford Medical Center about two hours after being wounded. He and six others clashed with Salas after leaving the Ground Zero nightclub, Medford police said. Salas' trial is scheduled to open Feb. 6 and run for five days in Jackson County Circuit Court.
