Medford police arrested Mitchell late Wednesday on charges of first-degree theft and probation violation. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained Thursday night without bail. Assault — Joseph Albert Andrade, 28, of the 900 block of North Berkley Way, Medford. Medford police arrested Andrade Thursday on two counts of fourth-degree assault and a harassment charge. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Thursday night on $12,000 bail. Drugs — Blake Daniel Angus, 24, of Salem. Angus appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Thursday on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail and released. Drugs — Donna Jean Akers, 18, of the 500 block of Hudspeth Lane, Shady Cove. Akers appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Thursday on an indictment charging her with possession of amphetamines. She was booked into jail and released. Drugs — Jamie Nichole Arnold, 18, of the 300 block of Freeman Road, Central Point. Arnold appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Thursday on an indictment charging her with possession of amphetamines and synthetic drugs. She was booked into jail and released. Drugs — Hank Sterling Sowell, 19, of the 200 block of Taylor Road, Trail. Sowell appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Thursday on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail and released. Advertisement Theft — Emerson Levi Vails, 29, of the 3200 block of Highway 66, Ashland. Vails appeared in Circuit Court Thursday on an indictment charging him with two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle and a second-degree burglary charge. He was booked into jail and released. Injury accident Wheelchair struck — South Riverside Avenue and Earhart Street, Medford. A person in a motorized wheelchair was going south in the travel lanes of Riverside Avenue and collided with an oncoming car. The person was taken to Providence Medford Medical Center with minor injuries and cited for improper position in a roadway, Sgt. Chad Teresi said. Correction Identity theft — Police are investigating an identity theft after Heather D. Goodwin, 30, reported that she hadn’t been arrested Wednesday on drug charges by Central Point police, but she suspected someone was using a drivers license she had lost.
