Mustangs rout Klamath Falls, 19-1 By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Jun 14, 2021 08:59 PM A A Medford Mustangs baseball KLAMATH FALLS — Medford scored at least three runs in five of the seven innings and rolled to a 19-1 American Legion AAA baseball win over Klamath Falls Monday. The Mustangs (12-2) racked up 17 hits, led by Josh Baptiste’s 4-for-5 performance. Zac Ankeny was 3-for-3 and drove in three runs. He had a run-scoring triple in the first inning and an RBI double in the third. Tanner Douglas was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs. He hit a two-run double in the second. Cody Borraggine drove in three runs and scored three, Aiden Horsley was 2-for-3 with two runs and Darin Marsh had a hit, walked three times and scored three runs. Mustangs pitcher Trey Newmann didn’t need so much support as he quieted the Falcons’ bats. Newmann allowed only one hit in five innings, striking out seven and walking one. AJ Balsiger finished up the final two frames, giving up two hits and fanning four with one walk.
