Heuberger had the eighth-fastest time in the women’s 400 intermediate hurdles with a time of 1 minute, 3.78 seconds. She will compete against the remaining seven competitors in today’s finals. On Thursday, Oregon Institute of Technology’s Nick Bakke became the first OIT athlete in 31 years to win a national championship. Bakke posted a mark of 209 feet, 4 inches in the javelin.
