Tyler James Leventon, 26, of the 2100 block of Brookhurst Street entered not guilty pleas Tuesday to two counts of third-degree assault and two counts of failure to perform the duties of a driver to an injured person, plus charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, recklessly endangering another person and second-degree criminal mischief. On Oct. 23, Leventon allegedly drove his vehicle through chain link fencing at the Medford Fire Department's Fire Station 5 near North Medford High School. He then allegedly drove back through the chain link onto the roadway, according to an affidavit. Two female pedestrians on the sidewalk were allegedly hit by debris from the collision. Both were transported to a hospital for treatment, the affidavit said. One person was allegedly hit in the abdomen and the other was hit in the head, the affidavit said. Leventon has a pre-trial conference hearing scheduled for the case on Jan. 25.
