Mid-Valley took the opener 4-1. Jolley, who blasted a homerun and belted two doubles, led a 13-hit attack for the RiverDogs, who avenged a doubleheader sweep at the hands of Mid-Valley on Saturday. John Zumwalt picked up the pitching win with a complete-game, five strikeout effort. In Game 1, Pepsi’s John Best struck out 10, while giving up six hits. Southern Oregon’s Bryan Edwards fanned 11 in eight innings in relief. The RiverDogs (3-3, 1-3 league) travel to play a doubleheader with the Eugene Nighthawks on Friday.
