Medford police arrested Smith late Sunday on a charge of possessing methamphetamine. She was lodged in jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. Sex offender — Michael Paul Henry, 49, of Tacoma, Wash. Medford police arrested Henry Sunday on a charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. Drugs — Daniel Clyde Anderson, 28, no address available. Medford police Monday arrested Anderson on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was later released on his own recognizance. Sex abuse — John Edward Gilbert, 67, of the 700 block of Malabar Drive, Central Point. Central Point police Monday arrested Gilbert on a charge of first-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail. Drugs — Corey Dean Malotte, 24, no address available. Central Point police Monday arrested Malotte on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday without bail for allegedly violating the conditions from a previous methamphetamine conviction. Drugs — Melissa Dawn Conner, 21, of the 100 block of Fern Valley Drive, Medford. Central Point police Monday arrested Conner on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. She was lodged at the Jackson County Jail, where she was being held Monday in lieu of $10,000 bail. Crime reports Vehicle theft — 1200 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report at 8:15 a.m. Monday of the theft of a gray 2004 Chevrolet Blazer with Oregon license 550-BKY. The theft was valued at $30,000. Theft — 500 block of Boardman Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 8:45 a.m. Monday of the theft of $1,000 worth of items from a vehicle. Reported stolen were a portable radio, a DVD player and a CD player. Burglary — 2000 block of Lars Way, Medford. Medford police took a report at 9:06 a.m. Monday of the theft of four chrome pickup wheels and a 5 horsepower gas motor from a business. The break-in and theft was valued at $2,200. Theft — 1700 block of East Main Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 9:15 a.m. Monday of the theft of a laptop computer, an iPod, books, sunglasses and hiking boots from a vehicle. The loss was valued at $900. Stolen vehicle — 300 block of Havana Avenue, Medford. Medford police Sunday took a report of the theft of a 1996 Dodge Neon with Oregon license plate VTF-599. Burglary — 200 block of Ashland Avenue, Medford. Medford police Sunday took a report of a burglarized residence.
