Wind and rain are expected the next few days across southwest Oregon, with the bulk of the downpour expected to fall Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.  A strong cold front is expected to move across the area Thursday evening, bringing as much as three-quarters of an inch of rain and southerly winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph, said meteorologist Connie Clarstrom. Showers will continue into Friday, with up to an additional quarter-inch possible. An inch or more of rain is expected to fall over parts of Douglas County. Snow levels are expected to drop to about 4,500 feet, with upward of 7 inches possible at Crater Lake and Diamond Lake, 2 inches at Lake of the Woods and trace amounts on the Siskiyou Summit. "It's hard to say what will be on the roads," Clarstrom said. A bit of rain is possible Saturday and Sunday, but "we should see more of a drying trend," Clarstrom said. Temperatures Thursday through Sunday will be in the mid-50s to high 60s in the Rogue Valley. The Weather Service issued a flash flood watch through Thursday night for parts of southwest Oregon, especially western Josephine County and eastern Curry County.
