Camillia Veronica Pagnini Friday Feb 24, 2017 at 2:00 AM August 25, 1928 - February 19, 2017 She loved glitz, going to garage sales, and being a faithful Catholic. Camillia marched for the Right to Life when no one else did. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to over 60 and still counting. She was born August 25, 1928 in Los Angeles, California. Camillia married her husband, James Michael Pagnini in 1949 at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Los Angeles. The couple, seeking somewhere away from the maddening crowd, decided to move to Medford, Oregon in the early 1970s. In Medford, Camillia went back to college and as a published writer, wrote poetry and stories from her life. She had a small art studio built by her sons where, as she got older, she enjoyed painting ladybugs on rocks for family and friends. Until just a few years ago she took Tai Chi classes and visited neighbors in need. She was always seen walking around the mobile home park where they lived and neighbors ask about her on a regular basis. Camillia and James spent their lives in a series of celebrations whether it was birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, camping, or putting on skits with their eight children, Aleta, Laurie, Michael, Anthony, Mary Ann (Nieto), James, Kathleen (Gerlick), and Alice (Rose). In addition to her children, Camillia leaves behind her beloved husband and a large family including her sisters, Rose (Reed) and Mary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Katie Zvonek; and her brothers, Joseph and Frank Jr. A special thank you to the staff at Roxy Ann Memory Community and to all the people who took time to visit Camillia including her devoted in-law daughters and sons. A rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. February 26, 2017 at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church, 600 Beebe Rd., Central Point, Ore. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. February 27, 2017 at the same location officiated by the principal celebrant, Father William Dillard and other special priest friends. Interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Rd., Eagle Point, Ore. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in honor of Camillia Pagnini be made to either Magdalene Home, Attn: Tricia, P.O. Box 255, Medford, Ore., 97501 or St. Vincent de. Paul, Attn: Al Zon, 2424 N. Pacific Highway, Medford, Ore. 97501. Our beloved Camillia will be sorely missed. May God bless and comfort her in eternal peace.
