Jackson County reports 16 more COVID-19 cases Thursday By Mail Tribune staff Aug 06, 2020 04:06 PM A A Jackson County Public Health reported 16 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the local total to 437, according to a news release. Of that total, 141 cases are still considered infectious, public health officials said. There have been 36 local hospitalizations from the illness and one death in the county, county data shows. Oregon reported 267 new cases statewide in a Thursday news release, also reporting another death. The new cases increased the state’s total to 20,225, and the death toll is up to 339.
