Her peers recognized those efforts Friday, bestowing the annual Realtor Image Award on the Coldwell Banker Pro West Real Estate agent from Ashland. Bolf recently participated in the 50th conference of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals, where AMPI and the National Association of Realtors signed a joint venture agreement. A growing number of U.S. citizens have acquired second and retirement homes in Mexico, while Mexicans are investing in property throughout the U.S. Bolf has been active in the growing market as owner/broker of International Corporation de Inversiones, a real estate brokerage company in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. "How I look at it is that we need to be building bridges, not walls," Bolf said. "All the statistical information shows how much we interact with Mexico. We need to do things that are bringing us together." Advertisement She said Mexican agents are striving to adopt practices people in the United States take for granted. Closer to home, Bolf has been active for seven years as a board member for the Ashland Community Land Trust, an affordable housing organization. "My policy is that we need to reach out to everyone," Bolf said. "We have a strong economy primarily because of home ownership. A lot of countries don't have the ability to do that. Food and shelter is so key to everything. If people are worried about shelter all the time, they can't worry about improving business." Bolf has been selling real estate for 12 years in Oregon, previously working with RE/MAX Realty Group in Ashland. Before that, she was an agent for four years in California's Orange County. She is a member of the Oregon Association of Realtors' executive board and is past chair of the business committee. She is also a board member for Pathways Enterprises. Bolf said a critical issue facing the real estate industry is continuing education and professionalism.
