Bluto Margaret K. Bluto, affectionately known by many simply as "Nana," of Eagle Point, Ore. was born Margaret Kathleen Maple August 20, 1932 in Winooski, Vt. Margaret passed into the arms of her beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, February 1, 2015 at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her second son, Mark Bluto. Margaret is survived by her children, Steven Bluto, Mo., Sherry Van Veghel, Eagle Point, Ore., Paul Bluto Jr., Calif., Joseph Bluto, Mo., and Jeremy Bluto, Texas; along with 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Margaret dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She was also a beloved “Nana” to many more people in the community as a Foster Grandparent for 12 years in a Kindergarten classroom at Eagle Rock Elementary School, in Eagle Point, Ore. Margaret was also a dedicated member of Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point, Ore. Following the Lord's example, Margaret was a shining light of kindness and unconditional love. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren grow and excel in their chosen fields, as well as watching them pursue all their passions, be it sports, the arts, or beyond. She was an amazingly wonderful person who will be remembered and truly missed by all who were blessed to know her. A memorial mass in celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m Friday, May 22, 2015 at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point, Ore. A reception will follow in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, the family is collecting donations for a special gift to be given to Eagle Rock Elementary School in Margaret's honor. Donations may be mailed to Eagle Point Middle School, P.O. Box 218 Eagle Point, OR. 97524 C/O Sherry Van Veghel.
