The Mustangs scored 51 second-half points and downed Glide, 93-46, Monday in nonconference boys basketball. Jordan Hayter scored 25 points and Nick Hayter 23 as Hidden Valley ran its record to 3-0. The Mustangs spent the first half working on its full-court trap, zone defenses and other schemes to gain game experience. "In the second half," said coach Norm Hayter, "we went back to our good ol’ man-to-man defense. When we do that, good things happen." Hidden Valley outscored Glide by 33 points after taking a 39-28 halftime lead. Advertisement Wil Dillon contributed 12 points and nine rebounds, and Josh Gotfried had eight assists in the victory.
