The Ducks will sign 6-foot-7, 280-pound Zac Morgan, a senior transfer from Dayton, according to a report Tuesday afternoon by DuckTerritory.com . Morgan started 10 games at left tackle last season for the Flyers and started all 11 games at right tackle as a sophomore in 2015. The Mokena, Ill., native was named the top lineman for Dayton during each of the past two seasons. Morgan played in three games as a freshman in 2013 after redshirting his first season at the school. He becomes the second transfer to make the jump from FCS to Oregon, following Montana State quarterback Dakota Prukop. The signing of Prukop and Morgan would give Oregon a graduate transfer at quarterback and on the offensive line for the second year in a row after Vernon Adams Jr. and Matt Hegarty joined the Ducks last season. Oregon returns starting right tackle Tyrell Crosby, but graduated left tackle Tyler Johnstone. Elijah George, who will be a junior next season, is the only other returning tackle on Oregon’s two-deep depth chart from the Alamo Bowl. Oregon, though, has regularly used linemen at different positions and guard Cameron Hunt could move to tackle. Oregon signs Yost to $350,000 contract Oregon has signed new quarterbacks coach David Yost to a two-year contract that will pay the former Missouri offensive coordinator $350,000 per year in total guaranteed compensation. A revised contract for Matt Lubick, who was promoted to offensive coordinator before the Alamo Bowl, has not been released. Lubick’s guaranteed compensation as wide receivers coach last season was $362,416. Scott Frost, who served as offensive coordinator for three seasons before leaving to be the head coach at Central Florida, made $750,000 in guaranteed salary in 2015. Oregon signed new defensive coordinator Brady Hoke to a three-year, $1.8 million contract last month. The deal will pay the former Michigan coach $400,000 in guaranteed compensation in 2016 with a significant bump to $700,000 in guaranteed compensation in 2017 and 2018. Hoke, 57, reportedly received a $3 million buyout after being fired by Michigan in December 2014. The payments were to be made in monthly installments over 24 months, bringing his total compensation for four years of work in Ann Arbor to $14.4 million. Fourth-year coach Mark Helfrich announced Hoke will revamp Oregon’s defense by transitioning to a 4-3 base this spring. Don Pellum, who was demoted to linebackers coach after the Ducks finished the 2015 season 9-4, has two year’s left on the deal he signed after the national championship game that will pay him $410,000 annually. Defensive line coach Ron Aiken will have the same guaranteed salary ($400,000) as Hoke next season. Secondary coach John Neal is scheduled to make $335,000. Erik Chinander, who left the staff to be Frost’s defensive coordinator at UCF, made $300,000 as the outside linebackers coach in 2015. After Oregon won the Pac-12 and appeared in the first College Football Playoff, Helfrich signed a five-year, $17.5 million contract extension through the 2019 season.
