Body found in river identified JCSO Photo Searchers look Thursday for a body spotted in the Rogue River near Valley of the Rogue State Park. Friday Mar 16, 2018 at 10:30 AM Mar 16, 2018 at 10:30 AM A man whose body was found in the Rogue River Thursday has been identified as Gary Richard Schultz, 64, of Marysville, Washington, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators with the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Schultz by fingerprints. Schultz was reported missing and possibly suicidal to Marysville police March 13, the release said. Schultz’s vehicle was located in the parking lot at Valley of the Rogue State Park. Deputies estimate Schultz had been in the water for only a short time before his body was spotted by a citizen. Schultz’s family has been notified of his death. An autopsy is scheduled for later today.
