Jackson County sheriff’s deputies on Monday added a charge of allegedly being a fugitive wanted in California on a first-degree theft charge. He remained lodged at the Jackson County Jail on Monday without bail. Identity theft — Michael John Minihan, 36, of the 2200 block of Fairbanks Avenue, Medford. Medford police late Sunday arrested Minihan on charges of first-degree theft, identity theft and second-degree theft. He was lodged Monday at the Jackson County Jail, where he was released early Monday because of overcrowding at the jail, jail officials said. Theft — Dwayne Robert Heide, 33, of the 3500 block of Michael Park Drive, Medford. Heide made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of first- degree theft. He was processed Monday at the Jackson County Jail, then released on his own recognizance. Jail releases Jail releases — A total of 135 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its new court-ordered cap 230 inmates. Of those, 60 were released before their scheduled court appearances, 20 were granted an early release from a sentence and 55 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
