Crews descend on 25 acre wildfire near White City By Mail Tribune staff Updated: May 29, 2021 04:45 PM A A ODF Southwest Oregon District released this photo of a 25 acre fire on East Antelope Road near White City. Oregon Department of Forestry and Jackson County Fire District 3 crews were working a fire outside White City that as of Saturday afternoon had grown to 25 acres. The fire in the 9600 block of East Antelope Road was burning on a slope that was difficult for firefighters to line, according to an ODF Southwest Oregon District Facebook post. As of 4:27 p.m., no evacuations are in place and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Resources battling the fire included one fire crew, multiple engines, a bulldozer and a heavy duty Type 1 helicopter, according to ODF. Overnight resources are on order.
