She was born at home in Medford, Ore. February 20, 1936, the fifth of six children, to Mahlon Sprague Sr. and Laura Comstock Sprague. She graduated from Medford High School in 1954. On October 8, 1955 she married Bennie D. Kinney at the Medford Apostolic Faith Church and there they also celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Florence loved music. Growing up she played her cello and sang soprano in both her high school and church choirs and orchestras. She continued as a vocalist and cello player at her church until 2012. She shared her passion for music with her children who all play instruments. Florence and Bennie shared a love of the outdoors with their five children and built many memories camping, fishing, and hunting. She is survived by three brothers, John and Charles Sprague of Medford, Ore. and Richard Sprague of Petersburg, Ark.; her five children and their spouses, Terry and Carol Kinney, Lynette and Steven Teeny, Rene’ and Allen Morehouse, Brett and Cindy Kinney, and Benton and Diane Kinney; and by her 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Florence loved her family and she loved God. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Apostolic Faith Church Medford, Ore. Arrangements under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood, Wash.
