AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL: Mavericks pick up split against Cardinals By Mail Tribune staff Jul 12, 2018 10:52 PM A A North Medford’s Ryan Kloek had a hot day the plate, helping the Mavericks to an Area 4 doubleheader split Thursday against the visiting Klamath Falls Cardinals in American Legion A baseball. Klamath Falls won the first game, 16-2, and North Medford took the second contest, 16-6. Both games went five innings. In the Mavericks’ win, Kloek was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI as North Medford improved to 17-12 overall and 10-6 in Area 4. Dylan Ivens went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs.
