Grizzlies win pair in water polo ASHLAND -- Jordan Scheffler scored nine goals, Vanessa Walker had four and Sara Pennington added three to power the Ashland High girls water polo team to a 25-0 victory over Sweet Home on Saturday. The Grizzly boys were almost as prolific as they pinned a 17-5 defeat on the visiting Huskies. Dustin Asher, Adam Foley and Brad Scoles tallied three goals apiece for the Grizzly boys. The victories left the Ashland boys and girls with 13-1 league records and sets up a showdown with league-leading Sheldon on Monday. The girls play at 5:20 p.m. and the boys' teams square off at 6:20 in the Southern Oregon University pool. Sheldon handed Ashland its only defeats earlier this season at Eugene.
